Family Building 101 - Fertility Centers of Orange County (FCOC)

A supportive conversation covering fertility basics and family-building options for individuals and couples.
Thinking about building a family but not sure where to start? You’re not alone.

Family Building 101 is a supportive, educational session designed for individuals and couples who want clear, evidence-based information about fertility and family-building options, without pressure, jargon, or assumptions.

Led by Dr. Wayne Lin and Dr. Amy Kaing of Fertility Centers of Orange County, this conversation will cover the fundamentals of fertility in a way that’s approachable, inclusive, and grounded in real clinical experience.

We’ll discuss:

  • What fertility really means and how it’s evaluated

  • Age, timing, and common misconceptions

  • Fertility testing basics for all genders

  • An overview of family-building paths, including natural conception, assisted reproduction, and fertility preservation

  • When it makes sense to seek care and what that first step looks like

This session is informational, not a sales pitch. There’s no “right” timeline and no one-size-fits-all path. Just clear guidance, thoughtful context, and space to ask questions.

Whether you’re actively trying, planning ahead, or simply gathering information, you’re welcome here.
