Dale Carnegie Course: Managing Stress in the Workplace

Dale Carnegie Course: Managing Stress in the Workplace

Stress has become one of the foremost challenges in the workplace during the past two years.  With the rapid and dramatic changes that every employer and employee has continuously faced, the business community has become fatigued in many ways.  Evidence of this is witnessed through the phenomena of the ?Great Resignation.?  Many are calling this a ?Great Reconsideration.?

Employees are burnt out from the demands of the pandemic.  Some employees were shifted to work from home, and isolated from their manager and teams except in the case of digital communication.  Front line workers were faced with the challenges of PPE, fear of being infected, physical social distancing, and much of management and administration offsite in work from home status.

Employers have been challenged by how to remain in touch with their employees in the remote supervision model, how to monitor and encourage increased production, how to identify employees that need support/assistance, how to communicate genuine care and concern on digital platforms and/or through face masks, as well as enforcing all of the legal compliance issues.

As we enter the third year of the pandemic, the stress of all that we have faced has compounded.  Now more than ever, employees and employers/managers need to learn to identify their stress, manage their stress levels, and effectively communicate their stress and needs to one another.

What You?ll Learn:What You?ll Learn:

  • Examine different types of stress and their impact
  • Explore strategies for handling stress
  • Work collaboratively with peers to manage stress
  • Communicate to resolve stress with managers and/or employees
  • Transform negative energy into a positive opportunity
