DESCRIPTION:City-Wide Serve Day\n\nHelp make a difference in our city! Let's volunteer together at the 3rd annual City-Wide Serve Day November 4\, 2023. Join businesses\, faith communities\, nonprofits\, City Hall\, and all who love our city and want to see it thrive! Open to everyone and all ages.\n\n\n\nCity Wide Serve Day runs from 7:30 AM - 12 PM\, beginning with a kick-off rally from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM at Free Chapel\, 2777 McGaw Ave\, Irvine\, CA 92614. Volunteers will receive breakfast burritos\, coffee\, Tshirts\, and a short pump-up rally. Mayor Khan and other civic leaders will help kick off the event. Volunteers will be dismissed promptly so that projects will run approximately from 9 AM - 12 PM.  \n\n \n\nLove Irvine (www.loveirvine.org) is the organization behind Serve Day and who is coordinating the event. The hope for Serve Day is that through volunteering\, we connect with our neighbors which creates greater appreciation for our incredible city\, and leads to ongoing involvement by volunteering in various nonprofits and organizations throughout the year.\n\n \n\nWe have over 20 service projects with space for over 700 volunteers. LOCATION:Rally Location: Free Chapel located at 2777 McGaw Ave\, Irvine\, CA 92614. Join us for a rally from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM. Coffee will be free-flowing and breakfast burritos will be available until supplies last. Snag a photo at Love Irvine's photo booth area with your team before departure do your project. What to expect: Serve Day is a unique opportunity where the community comes together to serve each other across the city\; at local nonprofits\, public parks and trails\, neighborly initiatives\, schools\, and more! At the Serve Day rally\, volunteers will be welcomed by Love Irvine's Serve Day hospitality team and host location staff and volunteers. For those registered\, you may pick up your t-shirt\, grab a cup of coffee\, and connect with fellow project peers. Not registered yet? there will be registration tables and paper waivers of liability available. Connect and Community: At 8 AM\, we will be kicking off the speaker portion of the rally with the Mayor Khan\, other guest speakers and Love Irvine's President\, Curtis Drever.
